I enjoy playing the piano. I’m not an accomplished pianist. In fact, I’m not a particularly good pianist. But, I’ve been plugging away at it for over 50 years. Still waiting for those lessons I took in 3rd grade to kick in.
Buying sheet music here and there over the years has resulted in a collection of 2,500 songs spanning more than 200 years. Most of the songs are from the artists’ albums. About 500 are from movies, tv shows, musicals or operas. Genres include: pop, country, new age, classical, rock, oldies and Christmas.
This Sheet Music Index lists the books, songs, composers, arrangers, etc. If you see some that you’d like to play yourself, let me know and I’ll send you bootleg copies of them. But let’s keep it on the down low.
Most of the music would be considered Intermediate. Some would be considered Easy and some would be considered Advanced. A long-term project that I have yet to start is to rate each song for difficulty and enjoyment. Someday the Index will reflect those ratings.
